Zed Layson was born and raised on the island of Barbados, he is 5th generation Barbadian.
Zed began surfing at the age of 7 and has traveled the world as a competitive surfer for
more than 24 years. In 1990, Zed competed in the World Surfing Championships in Japan,
and also competed in the 1994 World Surfing Championships in Brazil.
Zed has gained a lot of great experiences surfing and competing all over South America,
the United States and of course, the Caribbean.
As a 14 year member of the Barbados National Surfing Team, Zed competed against some
of the top surfers in the world including Kelly Slater.
This Barbadian born surfer is retired from contest and dedicates his time to his family, Surfing school and Guest House.
